Terms of Service

Last updated: April 14, 2026

By using MyResumeKit (“the Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. MyResumeKit is operated from Ontario, Canada.

The Service

MyResumeKit provides a web-based resume builder that allows you to create an ATS-optimized resume and export it as a PDF. The resume building experience is free. Exporting your resume as a PDF requires a one-time payment of $4.99 USD.

Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. By using MyResumeKit, you represent and warrant that you meet this minimum age requirement and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

Payment Terms

The $4.99 fee is a one-time charge per PDF export. There are no subscriptions, no recurring charges, and no hidden fees. Prices are listed in US dollars.

Payments are processed by PayPal. You may pay by credit card, debit card, or PayPal balance. You do not need a PayPal account to pay by card. We do not receive or store your payment card details.

Refunds: We offer a 7-day satisfaction guarantee. If you are not satisfied with your PDF export, contact us within 7 days of purchase and we will issue a full refund, no questions asked. After 7 days, all sales are final. For technical failures (payment charged but PDF not delivered), contact us at contact@myresumekit.com with your PayPal transaction ID and we will resolve it promptly.

Your Content

You retain all rights to the resume content you create using the Service. MyResumeKit does not claim ownership of your personal information, work history, or any other content you provide. Resume data is stored in your browser and never retained on our servers beyond what is necessary to generate your PDF.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service to create resumes containing false, fraudulent, or misleading information
  • Attempt to circumvent or reverse-engineer the payment gate or any access controls
  • Use automated tools, scrapers, or bots to access, test, or abuse the Service
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its servers and networks
  • Use the Service in any way that violates applicable Canadian, US, or international law

Intellectual Property

The MyResumeKit name, logo, website design, resume templates, and underlying software are the intellectual property of the operator and are protected by Canadian and international copyright and trademark law.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service to create resumes for your personal job-search use. The PDFs you generate are yours to use as you see fit — including for unlimited job applications. You may not redistribute, resell, or repackage the templates themselves.

Disclaimer of Warranties

MyResumeKit is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee that use of this Service will result in job interviews, employment, or any specific outcome. ATS compatibility depends on how individual employers configure their applicant tracking systems — while every MyResumeKit template is designed and tested for ATS compatibility, we cannot guarantee that any particular ATS will parse your resume correctly.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, MyResumeKit and its operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, opportunity, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. Our total cumulative liability for any claim arising out of or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid for the relevant transaction (a maximum of $4.99 USD per PDF export).

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless MyResumeKit and its operator from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your violation of these Terms or your misuse of the Service.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of the Province of Ontario, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts. If you are accessing the Service from outside Canada, you do so on your own initiative and are responsible for compliance with local laws.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found by a court of competent jurisdiction to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be enforced to the maximum extent permitted, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and MyResumeKit regarding the Service and supersede any prior agreements.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
